Let’s first examine together the FOUNDATION of the Word of God found in; Genesis Chapters 1-11… This passage of Holy Scripture is the "foundation" of all Scripture throughout the rest of the Bible. Yeshua (Jesus) taught that NO man can build a house on the sand and it NOT fall (Matthew 7:26-27 …and so, too, ANY book that claims to teach other than the Bible "spiritual truth" CANNOT stand! Except it is given by God in His Word the Bible which is His TESTAMENT (Old and New) to us! If the foundational Chapters, the first 11-Chapters of Genesis …are false then the rest of the Bible is false …and to be considered as only a document written by imperfect men or women! But the "foundation" of God Almighty and His Word stands sure!

God said it – we believe it AND that settles it…! The Godhead (Father, Son and Holy Spirit); Creation; Man in God‘s Image; Marriage and the Home, Satan; Sin and the Fall of Man; Morality; the universal Flood of Noah; the dispersion and rebellion of mankind against God of the Human Race; the Beginning of Nations; distinctions in People and Language …ALL these teachings and many others have their beginning – where? In Genesis 1-11! The amazing consistency of doctrine that follows throughout the Bible is PROOF of Bible truth and inerrant. What is said in these early chapters of Genesis about the "Creation of the Universe" is in complete harmony with subsequent teaching throughout the rest of the Bible …whether from the Book of Job or the Psalms, or the Book of Acts or Revelation - Genesis 1-11 sets the tone for teaching on this great profound subject. The Psalmist said; "…by the word of the Lord were the heavens made and the host of them by the breath of His mouth. . . He spoke and it was done; He commanded and it stood fast" - Psalm 33:6, 9. Thus, the teaching in the Psalms about "Creation" is in complete harmony with the tenor of Genesis 1.

When we read of the creation of man; that God created humans in His own image and in the beginning, they were created MALE and FEMALE …as Yeshua (Jesus) said in Mark 10:6. How could this consistency in doctrine happen if mere mortal men had written the Bible? The significance of the Bible is revelation, inspiration, inerrancy, and infallibility. But this is NOT the position taken by the godless Liberals, Communists, Scientists and sceptics of our day. They do NOT believe that the Scriptures are inspired, inerrant and infallible. In fact, they believe that the first 11-Chapters of Genesis are nothing but stories, ancient superstition, myth and legend – yet they cannot disprove God or His Word – the Bible. In fact, what is taking place in our generation and especially since Israel was reborn as a Nation in 1948 just as God promised and ancient Prophets predicted in the Old Testament would happen. We are also living in times where Genesis 1-11 and especially after 2020 with the "serpent-on-the-pole" World Health Org. - Medical Plan-demic and tyranny …that old "serpent" of the Garden of Eden now renewed. Today we are witnessing the wickedness of leaders of the Nations rebelling against God Almighty just as in they did in Genesis 11 at the Tower of Babel ALL speaking "in one accord" and thus confirming End-times of Last Days have arrived just as our Lord Yeshua warned it would be like in Matthew 24 and Luke 21.

If Genesis 1 is a myth - what about Matthew 1? Yeshua our Lord and Saviour – Jesus Christ believed in the Genesis account (Matthew 19:4-5) …as being historically accurate, reliable, dependable …and accepted the “Creation” account in Genesis 1-2. He believed Moses‘ account of the Flood (Luke 17:26-28). The Apostle Paul (1 Timothy 2:11-15) based his argument for the subjection of woman to man on the account of the Fall in Genesis 3. The Apostle Peter bears testimony to the accuracy of Noah and the Flood (1 Peter 3:20). The beloved Apostle John is in harmony with the Creation account as he says in the Book of Revelation that Yeshua (Jesus) …is the beginning of the Creation (Revelation 3:14). If someone is raising questions about the trust-worthiness of Genesis 1-11 … they are also questioning the trustworthiness of God, Christ and the Apostles, and the entirety of the Bible.

The Scriptures, in the most detailed fashion, tell us when it ALL began at Creation and ended at the Flood … and the earth renewed; how long it continued and why …and when it will ALL END at the Lord’s Second Coming and our earth then be finally renewed! Let us look first into what the account of Genesis 6-9 affirms. In these 4 chapters which contain 97 verses, there are NO less than 59 references made to the Flood of Noah being universal! Words such as “all,” - “every,” and “whole” are used to describe the earth and its inhabitants which succumbed to the FLOOD. For example - in Genesis 6:3, God said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh, yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” Here God‘s reference to man is being described as “flesh,” with whom God had become weary. 

Could God be “grieving” with mankind today just as He did in Genesis 6:7…? God grieved that He had made man, and disclosed His intention to destroy man and beast, creeping things and birds of the air …from the face of the earth. In Genesis 6:12-13 we read; “So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. And God said, ‘The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” ALL “flesh” had become corrupt, and the end of ALL “flesh” was in view, as well as its destruction. In order to bring this about… God opened ALL the fountains of the great deep - as they were broken up …and the windows of Heaven were opened with rain! (Genesis 7:11-12). And, in Genesis 7:19-20 we read; “And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered. The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered.” It’s NOT hard to imagine how the release of water from beneath the ocean floors, coupled with an out-pouring of water from the heavens, would have had a GLOBAL impact and since God created them!

In the Old Testament, in addition to the Genesis the FLOOD is mentioned in Job 12:15; “If He (God) withholds the waters, they dry up; if He sends them out, they overwhelm the earth.” The Psalmist also remarks; “The Lord sat enthroned at the flood, and the Lord sits as King forever.” – Psalm 29:10. And again in Psalm 104:5-9 the Psalmist describes the general history of the flood! New Testament writers allude to the first 11 Chapters of Genesis no less than 70-times and 6 of these validating the historicity and universality of Noah‘s flood.

And of the Last Day’s WORLD judgment, the Lord said; “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”- Matthew 24:37-39. Yeshua (Jesus) affirmed that the flood ―took them all away! According to Apostle Peter, the extent of the Flood was directly related to the reason for the Flood was SIN! Sin was a UNIVERSAL problem of Noah’s time! ALL but 8 members of Noah’s family were faithful to God and so God preserved them in the ARK. SIN and rebellion against God is a universal problem today which will culminate in a GLOBAL judgment!

The Apostle Peter compares the FINAL days of this earth to those before the coming of the flood. Mockers of his day charged; “…where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation” - 2 Peter 3:3-4. Peter then reminded them of what they wilfully wanted to forget “…that by the Word of God the Heavens were of old, and the earth standing in water and out of water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water…” - 2 Peter 3:5-7. Peter argued that things have NOT continued as they were from the beginning of Creation and that there was an abrupt change in Earth‘s history, namely, a worldwide flood (Genesis 6-7) that wiped out every living thing on earth …except those mentioned in the Flood account (Noah and the selected animals) which left the previous world under complete destruction by water. What was the “world that then existed” - like? We are NOT sure …but Peter made a distinction between two worlds, pre-Flood and post-Flood …which is a clue to the massive destruction the Flood brought upon Earth‘s surface and to the evidence of a very different world in Ancient Times.

The Apostle Peter then draws a resemblance or likeness to the Day of Judgment; “…the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for FIRE until the Day of Judgment and perdition (ruin, damnation, hellfire) of ungodly men.” 2 Peter 3:7 -8. His point is plain - like the earth was destroyed once in judgment by WATER, it will again be destroyed in judgment by FIRE. AS believers we must always be READY – keep focused and stay connected to God especially as the day draws even closer!

The Genesis flood serves yet another great important purpose… Peter a Disciple of Yeshua – (Jesus) said that the FLOOD is a type of BAPTISM in Christ for a believer! The mode through which Salvation comes is parallel to the waters of the Genesis Flood. We read in 1 Peter 3:20-21 that Noah and his family were ―saved through water! Just as the waters separated Noah and his family from the SINFUL world and lifted them to Salvation …even so the “waters of baptism” are a symbolic GRAVE - separating the believer from the SINFUL world …and by the “Grace of God” is “raised” to - walk in newness of life! (Ephesians. 2:6; Romans. 6:4). Noah‘s faith and obedience worked together in his Salvation (Hebrews 11:7) …likewise, the believer‘s faith and obedience are both necessary for their Salvation (James 2:22). Understanding the present is the key to the past, would not have been in operation during at least two periods of earth history, the Creation and the Flood! Therefore, the Bible, and not just for the present …it is the KEY to the past …and the future of mankind!

Let’s look at Genesis 1-3 which serves as the Biblical “foundation” of all teaching regarding mankind…. Unlike all other creatures, who were created in sufficient numbers to begin populating the Earth (Genesis. 1:21) …God created Adam and Eve, a single pair forming divine marriage, with the command to “multiply and replenish” the Earth (Genesis 1:27). This Biblical truth is taught clearly in; Genesis 1:27-28; 2:7, 16-18, 21-25; 3:20 …and in the New Testament; “…for we are also His offspring!” - Acts 17:28. Toward the close of the 6^th -Day of Creation, the human race was created – “…in the image and likeness of God! (Genesis 1:26-27) Man was created a mortal being, his body capable of dying …and with an inner, immortal soul. Man was created innocent, free of sin - but he was not righteous …as righteousness results from obedient faith!

The phrases "image of God" and "likeness of God" are identical in meaning and are typical parallel expressions in Hebrew… Man is described as "spirit and soul and body" (1 Thessalonians. 5:23) and is so interwoven with God …that at death his body returns to dust of the earth and his spirit to God (Genesis. 2:7; Ecclesiastes. 12:7). Such interrelatedness places great dignity on each individual - incurring the responsibility to live accordingly with God and fellowman. "Made in the image of God" differentiates man from animals. Man is prohibited from taking the life of his fellowman (murder) …but is allowed to kill and eat animals (Genesis 9:1-6). This prohibition is NEVER stated of other creatures. Humans are "made in the image of God" gives the WHY - God expresses an interest in and cares for us. Job was puzzled at WHY God should magnify him. (Job. 7:17) …or WHY God considered such a weak mortal to be the object of His interest. David likewise wanted to know WHY God was "mindful of him" (Psalm 8:2) and took "account of him" (Psalm 144:3).

The Bible CLEARLY indicates that God created man on day 6, of Creation Week …and the first man was Adam …and that mankind has been here from the beginning of Creation. It also indicates Adam is in the genealogical line with Yeshua (Jesus). It also teaches the necessity for the Redemption of man (through Christ) in the Garden of Eden because of man‘s SIN. “Science” is NOT the answer – God is the answer! ALL things related to mankind’s origin was planned before the world (time) began (Titus 1:2 and after all things were created Almighty God “blessed” them (Genesis 1:28) and describing God‘s design for them (Ecclesiastes 5:17-19; 1 Timothy 6:18). God gave man dominion over ALL creation. The Genesis account of the origin of man is Simple …it is direct, positive, immediate, and complete in God. What is SIN? Sin is an improper relationship with God to whom we are subject (Genesis 2; 3; John 17:2). Sin has been described as darkness, debt, disobedience, evil, error, rebellion, an unethical act, etc. However, the Bible defines SIN as “lawlessness” (1 John 3:4) and “unrighteousness” (1 John 5:17) and; “…So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is SIN” - James 4:17. While SIN describes the improper relationship between God and man, it describes the battle between God and Satan, Satan and man, good and evil, right and wrong, and light and darkness (Genesis 3:15).

Genesis 1-2 pictures a perfect world; that is WITHOUT sin. Genesis 3 pictures an imperfect world because of sin… The historical account of Genesis 3 is necessary as it serves as the FOUNDATION of the Biblical worldview and it is the FOUNDATION of everything that comes after it! Without it, little in Scripture or in life itself would make sense. Genesis 3 is the “judgment chapter” relating Genesis to all other Biblical books. Genesis 3 sets forth “the testing of Adam‘s faith” …as God‘s gardener, Adam was commanded to enjoy fruit from every tree …EXCEPT “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” (Genesis 2:15-17). God allowed Adam and Eve to be tested by Satan - a fallen angel, known as “that old serpent, called the Devil,” and “Satan, which deceives the whole world - who was cast out (heaven) into the earth” (Revelation 12:9). Satan deceived Eve and Adam ate of the forbidden fruit KNOWINGLY (Genesis 3; 1 Timothy 2:14). There were penalties as the consequence of their sin (Genesis 3:16-19) and a continual “battle between good and evil” (Genesis 3:15); difficulty in childbirth; woman is subject to her husband (Genesis 3:16); man to labour and toil in obtaining his food (Genesis. 3:17-19), and the ground was cursed (Genesis 3:17-19). Satan‘s seduction and Adam‘s sin result in EMNITY (Genesis 3:15) between your (Satan‘s) seed (plural) and her (woman‘s) seed (singular). God cursed the ground for Adam‘s sake… “Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil shall you eat of it all the days of your life; thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to you; and you shall eat the herb of the field; in the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till dust you are, and to dust shall you return” - Genesis 3:17-19.

It is important to remember the first five words in God‘s Word “In the beginning God created!” Human existence, intelligence, artistic expression, compassion, and sense of morality only make sense in light of the creative activities of an Intelligent Designer. It is apparent from the Scriptures of Genesis 1 and 2 that the creation of man differed markedly from that of all other life on earth. Genesis 3 is the pivotal Chapter of what was declared as “very good” in Genesis 1:31 … to the sad history of “man in sin” in just two chapters later (Genesis 3). With man‘s sin marring his innocence, man is doomed to the sentence of death (Genesis 2:15-17; 3:1-19). No sooner had man sinned then our merciful God gives “a ray of hope” by promising a Saviour and Victor (Yeshua) over sin and Satan (Genesis 3:15; 1 Corinthians 15:55-57; Hebrews 2:14-15), though Genesis 3:15 is addressed to Satan.

Genesis 3:15 is the first Messianic Prophecy …and involves the Virgin Birth, the Crucifixion …and the Resurrection of Yeshua (Jesus). The “woman‘s seed” is a singular, masculine pronoun - “referring to the woman‘s seed” would come by a woman alone, without the seed of man. The unfolding of the Biblical worldview enables the identification of the “seed” as Christ the Saviour. Yeshua (Jesus) was - born of a woman (Mary) just as God promised (Galatians 4:4), who was enabled to conceive by the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:34-35) and apart from the seed of man. Mary was a virgin …and progressive Prophetic Revelation states that God would enable “a virgin to conceive, and bear a son” (Isaiah 7:14; 9:6), or “a woman shall compass a man” (Jeremiah 31:22) who will give birth in Bethlehem of Judea (Micah 5:1). The “seed” was NOT of many; but as of One …which is Christ (Galatians 3:16). Woman (Eve), tempted by Satan, brought sin into the world, …but woman (Mary) also brought the Redeemer.

Sin separates man from God (Isaiah 59:1-2); Salvation is the answer to sin… Man sinned (Genesis 3) and God is the “God of salvation” (Genesis 3:15; Psalm 18:46; 38:22; 51:14; 88:1; Luke 3:6; Acts 28:28; 1 Peter 1:10; Jude 3; Revelation 7:10). With sin paralyzing man, God by His Grace promised Salvation to man (Genesis 3:15; Titus 2:11). God‘s GRACE planned man Salvation “before the foundation of the world” (1 Peter 1:20; Matthew 25:34; Ephesians 1:4; Titus 1:2; Revelation 13:8; 17:8). In the Crucifixion our Lord Yeshua (Jesus) “…bore our sins in His own body on the tree” (1 Peter 2:24; Isaiah 54:4-5) and “…through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And delivered them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage”- Hebrews 2:14-15.

Yeshua (Jesus) became our SIN offering “…as God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us” (2 Corinthians 5:21; Isaiah 53:10). The Cross is essential, with absoluteness, for man‘s victory over sin and hope of Eternity with God. Adam and Eve should have instantly died for their sin …but God‘s grace is seen in His mediating life by sacrificing animals and clothing them - serving as a symbolic testimony of their cleansing from sin (Genesis 3:21) Adam called his wife‘s name Eve; because she was the “mother of all living” (Genesis 3:20). Eve is representative of “the woman” whose “seed” would eventually defeat Satan and offer salvation to man. We have victory through our Lord and Saviour (1 Corinthians 15:57). Without the Resurrection of Yeshua (Jesus), we have NO promise of our future resurrection (John 5:28-29; 1 Corinthians 15; 1 Thessalonians 4:13). Christ’s Resurrection gave us a lively HOPE that is incorruptible, undefiled, and does NOT fade away (1 Peter 1:3-4). The Cross and the Resurrection of Christ are essential just as the Resurrection is a blow to Satan from which he can NEVER recover!

Our world today (Mystery Babylon) is filled with chaos, greed, pride, corruption and lust for power… as they all speak in one language - SINFUL mankind believe that they can today create their own world apart from God! SIN brings about spiritual death. The pay for living a life of sin is death. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord!” (Romans 6:23). To die spiritually is the worst thing we can imagine. We were given a NEVER dying soul from God and it is our most valuable possession. Communism is a system of men which seeks to build without God …and Socialism is NOT merely the labour question - it is the “Tower of Babel” (Genesis 11) built without God …NOT to mount to Heaven from earth - but to set up Heaven on earth! Pride was the reason in this first building project of the “Tower of Babel” in “making a name for themselves” - they purposely left God‘s Name out! 

They were a people who did NOT seek God‘s honour and glory, but only their own – just as we are witnessing today with the wealthy Elites, world leaders etc. This was in direct opposition of the command given to Noah "to fill the EARTH" (Genesis 9:1, 7) and not to depopulate it. Their disobedience to the command of God was a result of NOT trusting in God‘s care for them. Wherever men are motivated by pride and fear, the result will be that God will be left out …and ultimately, will come to a divisive end. But the City and Tower of Babel on the plain of Shinar is typical of any society of men that is determined to leave God out of their purposes and plans. So, we see our whole Bible is connected to the first 11 Chapters of Genesis. God’s Word is true and God WILL deal with SIN … but also remember that our God is merciful and as true Judeo-Christian believers in Yeshua (Jesus Christ) and that Israel is God’s Land - we have that blessed hope in the FINAL Chapters!

In Revelation 21:1 God does a complete make-over of Heaven and Earth (Isaiah 65:17; 2 Peter 3:12-13). The New Heaven and New Earth is what some call the "eternal state" and will be "where righteousness dwells" (2 Peter 3:13). After the re-creation, God reveals the New Jerusalem. The Apostle John saw a glimpse of it in his vision… "The Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband" – Revelation 21:2. This is the city that Abraham looked for in faith (Hebrew 11:10). It is the place where God WILL dwell with His people forever (Revelation 21:3). And, it is in this City of God where All tears are wiped away! (Revelation 21:4)

God’s Word is true! He IS watching to see how the nations are treating His people – Israel. God will have mercy on Israel through Gentile believers acting as mediators towards them! This is one of the most amazing revelations ever given to the Church – an opportunity to do something that carries the highest priority in the heart of God. Yet, sadly, so few have seen the potential and the rewards of serving God in this manner - as agents of mercy to Israel and the Jewish people! Israel was and still is despised today and a despised nation continually turning away from God BUT nothing ever altered the purpose of God for that nation. The despised element is always a noticeable element in the purpose of God. When the Saviour of the world came, He came of that despised nation; like Israel… He Himself was; "despised and rejected by men," …and there is that despised element; "…things that are despised God has chosen," 1 Corinthians 1:28. Now, more than at any time is the time to support Israel and the Jewish people - the Lord’s Brethren! We are witnessing the nations and people turning their backs on Israel. Thank you for your prayers and generous financial support especially during these very difficult times. With "lockdown" and difficult "recovery" still lying ahead we ARE reminded that the Wuhan Corona Virus has caused many dire needs and continue to increase here in Israel upon the already most vulnerable!
