Almost 2000-years has gone by since Yeshua (Jesus) was Resurrected and we are finally in this privileged generation starting to see Prophecies happening around us! Time is escalating or “speeding-up” to mark the count-down until the Lord’s return after the RAPTURE of the Church …when He WILL fulfil His Covenant promise and set up the “Davidic” Kingdom” in Jerusalem. And, these Prophetic Last Days will ALL centre around God’s Land and people – Israel …and continue to do so until Prophecy is fulfilled! 

The Jewish people have endured antisemitism, pogroms, massacres, exiles and persecution for almost 2,000-years and still continues today on a lesser scale but WILL someday come to an end! The generation alive today and those born in 1948 only just 74 years ago saw God give the land back to the His people - the Jews …and 55-years ago the City Jerusalem in 1967 retaken …and only 5-years ago in 2017 Jerusalem declared the rightful Capitol of the Jewish people by US ex-President Donald Trump …so we can clearly see Prophecy has escalated in our time. Many Old Testament Prophecies concerning Israel about the Jews being brought back from exile to Israel for the last time - after fulfilling a certain number of years are happening Jews are returning – “making Aliyah” …just as God said it would be in the Last Days. Their time of exile is up and according to Amos 9:14-15 they will never again be uprooted. Persecution may come for disobedience and rebellion against God BUT Israel is in their land to stay. The Covenants of God are Eternal!

However, our Lord warned way back, thousands of years ago, before this generation was even alive that in the Last Days “perilous times” would also come! In the Greek “perilous times” means “evil morality; harsh nations and dangerous people!” Are we NOT seeing this today especially since 2020 with Global wickedness, draconian leadership and medical tyranny forced upon NOT only Israeli’s …but the whole world? 

Let’s look and remind ourselves about what happened at the destruction of the 2^nd Temple in 70 AD when the Romans came and destroyed Jerusalem slaughtering thousands and enslaving the rest. Three years later however, the last stand took place when the remaining Jewish rebels joined Eleazar at Masada to live in one of Herod's former palaces. With Jerusalem in ruins the Romans turned their attention to taking down Masada - the last community in Judea with 960 rebels, including many women and children that survived the destruction of Jerusalem had held out. The Romans laid siege, and several months later with NO success had built a dirt ramp so tall that they finally took the wall. When entering Masada the soldiers bearing down on them, all was quiet as they breeched the walls …instead of being led off as slaves, a mass suicide had taken place inside. The Jewish rebels were dead and the Romans only found two women and five children alive who had hidden in the drain surviving to tell the story. There, at Masada it became historically known as the "Grave of Israel!"

On the 14^th May, 1948 almost 2,000-years later, "a resurrection" of God’s Land started to take place just as Ezekiel had foretold... Not only did the people then start flooding back to the land, but the Israeli soldiers (IDF) was also "resurrected’ and set foot on the ground for the first time since; "Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all …"David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; and My servant David shall be their prince forever." - Ezekiel 37:21-23; 24-25. Then, only 5-years later in 1953, an excavation on Masada received the help of many Israeli soldiers to dig up the massive grave where Israeli soldiers/rebels died just short of 2,000-years earlier. While digging up Israel’s grave, a piece of Scripture was found dating back thousands of years. It was the same section in Ezekiel 37 that contained the Prophecy of the "Dry Bones." You see clearly Israel HAD to be back in their God-given Land for End-time Prophecy to be fulfilled!

The most exciting revelation and wealth of information God has given us concerning End-time understanding is how the SEVEN "Feasts of the Lord" are directly tied to the Book of Revelation and the unfolding of Last Day events. As believers when we understand God’s Timetable, we understand that we are born "for a time such as this!" We are living in the time where the last 3 Feasts of the Lord have NOT yet been fulfilled …and point us to the future to the Lord’s Second Coming and Rapture of His Church and help decoding the Antichrist. Yes, so much has happened since 2020 and things we never even imagined possible! Only by understanding the times can we understand why! In Leviticus 23, God lays out His divine "Moedim" "appointment times" according to His Calendar for the timing of His Feasts. BUT sadly, many believers today portray the "Feasts of the Lord" …as the "feasts of the Jews" …and throw them into the trash bin of history because of the anti-Semitic philosophy of the early Church fathers. There is NOTHING irrelevant in God’s Word! His plan has NOT changed for Israel, the Nations and the "Bride of Christ" - the Church.

These seven Biblical FEASTS that are God’s happen to be the ONLY world holidays that are NOT "man-made!" Events that have happened historically were quite possibly celebrated in the clouds long before they were given as Jewish Biblical holy days. The seven "Moedim" Feasts that God gave were actually Prophetic in the light of future REDEMPTION and all have been symbolically fulfilled on earth except for the last three - FALL/Autumn Feasts: 

1. Pesach (Passover) Yeshua (Jesus) died on Passover, fulfilling His death as the Lamb. Shabbat (Sabbath) Yeshua rested in the grave during the Sabbath. The day prior to a High Sabbath was commonly known as "a preparation day" when the lambs had to be slaughtered which meant the Passover on the 14th of Nisan was also the "preparation day" for the "High Sabbath" and on the 15th. FULFILLED

2. Unleavened Bread (Matzoh = Meaning "drain out/ or suck" (Deuteronomy 6:3). In the Bible, leaven is almost always symbolic of SIN and time of repentance. Like leaven that permeates the whole lump of dough, sin will spread in a person, a church, or a nation, eventually overwhelming and bringing its participants into its bondage and eventually death (Galatians 5:9; Romans 6:23). FULFILLED

3. Bikkurim (Firstfruits) Yeshua rose again on "First-fruits" becoming "the Firstfruit" of those who will rise from the dead (and on the Last Day). FULFILLED

4. Shavuot (Pentecost) Celebration of giving of the Torah. The Lord gave us the Holy Spirit on Pentecost and the birth of His Church. FULFILLED

5. Yom Kippur (Kipper= ransom/redeem) Day of Atonement Yeshua (Jesus) was the Atonement …but also in the Last Days it will be the day of ransom/redeeming. UNFILFULLED

6. Rosh Hashanah (Feast of Trumpets or New Year) "a trump" is sounded marking a new beginning. UNFILFULLED

7. Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) A time to dwell in a hut / tabernacle. The Fall Feasts will be fulfilled when the "trumpet sounds" at Yeshua (Jesus) return to reign and "Mishkan"  - "to dwell and tabernacle" with us. UNFILFULLED

In Genesis 1:14, God told us the calendar He uses is based on both the sun and the moon. When He talked about how they were to determine the days and years …He was referring to His Holy days such as Passover and Yom Kippur etc. The years referred to the 7-year cycle in which every 7^th year Israel was to let the land rest and settle all financial debts …and blessing for obeying …yet judgement for NOT and it affects not only Israel but the Gentile World too. We have seen economic disasters, financial crashes when a nation is in rebellion! The 7^th Year of the cycle is known as the SHEMITAH Year and we are currently in that year in 2022. There is also the Jubilee Year on God’s Calendar which was every 50^th Year (a Jubilee Year occurred for the City of Jerusalem in 2017) when the land returned to its original owner. Nowhere are any of these Feasts recognized on our Gregorian Calendar definitely (not God’s Calendar) but rather man’s calendar. As believers we must realize that we need to operate on two different calendars; the one God created, if we care about His schedule …and the one man created, because we still live in this world. The time is coming when our pagan calendar will be trashed, and all believers will be following God’s Calendar at the end of when He creates the "new heavens and new earth" - (Isaiah 66 :22-23).

So, what do we understand about the Davidic Covenant? The Davidic Covenant refers to God’s promises to David through Nathan the Prophet …and is an unconditional Covenant made between God and David. God promises David and Israel that the Messiah (Yeshua - Jesus Christ) would come from the lineage of David and the tribe of Judah …and establish a kingdom that would endure forever. The Davidic Covenant is unconditional because God does NOT place any conditions of "obedience" upon its fulfilment. The surety of the promises made rests solely on God’s faithfulness and does NOT depend at all on David or Israel’s obedience. It is the 4^th major Covenant God made with Israel is the Covenant that He made with King David to establish his dynasty forever (2 Samuel 7:12-14,16; 1 Chronicles 17:11-14; 2 Chronicles 6:16). This is known as "The Davidic Covenant." This Covenant introduces elements of God’s plan that we do NOT see in the other Covenants. It reveals His plan to bring "a golden age" to Israel and to the entire world which Yeshua (Jesus) calls; "The Kingdom of God."

In Psalm 89 this promise is repeated by God and is described as a covenant; "I have exalted one chosen from the people I have found My servant David; with My Holy Oil I have anointed him, with whom My hand shall be established... My faithfulness and My Mercy shall be with him… Also, I will make him My first born, the HIGHEST of the kings of the earth. My mercy I will keep for him forever, And My COVENANT shall stand firm with His seed also I will make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven...Once I have sworn by My Holiness; I will not lie to David - his seed shall endure forever, And, his throne as the sun before Me." (Psalm 89:20-21; 24:29; 35:37). These Prophetic words are repeated and amplified by the Prophets of God in several of the Psalms and in the writings in Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Zechariah and Isaiah.

In the Davidic Covenant, King David is promised that "one specific SON" will be his heir and will become the highest of the Kings of the earth. This anointed Son of David is referred to as "The MESSIAH" – "The Anointed One!" "…And MY (God) COVENANT" shall stand firm with his seed also I (God) will make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of Heaven." - Psalm 89.24. In this verse we are told that NOT only will the throne of David’s greater SON endure forever …but ONE particular King will Reign on it forever! The Messiah King – Yeshua (Jesus) will reign over the house of David forever. The promise of this ONE particular anointed King (Messiah) becoming the permanent King of Israel, was repeated and reinforced by Angel Gabriel who visited Mary of Nazareth. She was promised that she was to conceive "a Son" who would reign over the house of Jacob forever! "Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end." - Luke 1:31-34.

The genealogies in Matthew 1 and Luke 3 indicate Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (Jesus Christ) to be a physical descendant of David. According to the Prophecies and promises that make up the Davidic Covenant one singular leader WILL restore “the Throne of David.” Furthermore, He will reign over the house of Jacob forever and his kingdom will NEVER end. King Solomon, David’s son and first successor achieved greatness …but did NOT fulfil the promise of reigning over the house of David forever as his reign was a mere 40-years! Later Prophets …prophesying long after the death of Solomon, gave further descriptions of identity of “The Messiah King; (1) Micah foretold that he would be born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5.2) (2) Zechariah foretold that the Messiah would at first not be recognized by his own people. He would be “pierced by the inhabitants of Jerusalem before they would later be recognized by him. (Zechariah 11:4-14, 12:10). (3) David foretold that after his death the Anointed One would be buried but would NOT decay in the grave; “For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption - Psalm 16:10. (4) Isaiah says the gentiles will trust in Him and before He Reigns on the Throne of David - He will be “despised and rejected” (Isaiah 53.3). And, Peter declared; “God had sworn with an oath to him (David), that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne” - Acts 2:30. 

You see, there is only one person in history who fits ALL of these descriptions; Yeshua of Nazareth - He was announced as the “Son of David” Yeshua was born in Bethlehem; “pierced” and “despised” by His own (Jew and Gentile) “Crucified on a Roman Cross” in Jerusalem …buried BUT Resurrected before His body knew corruption just as David prophesied in Psalm 16.10. He is alive forevermore and has promised to return to take the “Throne of David!” That which began as a promise to David’s son Solomon would be blessed and build the Temple turns into something different …the promise of an Everlasting Kingdom! Another “Son” of David would RULE forever and build a lasting House! This is a reference to the Messiah, Yeshua - Jesus Christ …called “the SON of David” in Matthew 21:9. The promise that David’s “House,” “Kingdom,” and “Throne” will be established forever is significant because it confirms that the Messiah WILL come from the lineage of David …and that He will establish “a Kingdom” from which He WILL reign. The Covenant is summarized by the words; “house,” promising a dynasty in the lineage of David; “kingdom,” referring to a people who are governed by a king; “throne,” emphasizing the authority of the king’s rule; and “forever,” emphasizing God’s ETERNAL and unconditional nature of this promise to David and Israel and to us too! Halleluyah!

What is the distinctiveness of “The Throne of David” to “God’s Throne?” (1) Several descendants of David have sat on his throne BUT only ONE …Yeshua, Jesus Christ, sits at the “right hand” of God’s Throne in Heaven (Psalm 110:1; Hebrews 8:1; 12:2; 1 Peter 3:22). (2) David’s throne was NOT established before his lifetime, because God has always ruled over His Creation and His Throne in Heaven was established long before David’s throne (Psalm 93:1–2) which was on earth - not in Heaven. God, whose throne is in Heaven, exercises His Ruling Authority in and from Heaven (Psalm 103:19; Isaiah 66:1; Matthew. 5:34; 6:9–10). 

God’s promises to David in the “Davidic Covenant” WILL be fulfilled by Christ in the future at His Second Coming… The Lord declared that He would sit on His Throne, judge the Gentile “sheep and goat nations” and separate them for the Kingdom at His Glorious Second Coming (Matthew. 25:31–46). Thus, He put His Throne and Kingdom at the time of the Second Coming rather than before it. Zechariah 14:4; 9 indicates that the Messiah will become King after His feet touch the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem …when He comes at His Second Coming (after the Rapture) and destroys the wicked armies and rulers of ALL the nations of the world (Psalm 2; Revelation 16:12–16; 19:11–20:6). In Psalm 110:1–2 the Messiah is to sit at the “right hand of His Father” in Heaven UNTIL it is time for Him to Rule. The Lord stated that He would sit on the Throne of His Glory …as the “Son of man” when the earth is regenerated (restored to its pre–fall condition after the curse of man’s SIN is lifted from it, Matthew 19:28; Romans 8:18–22). Such a regeneration of the earth has NOT yet happened, and Peter indicated that it will NOT happen until Israel, as a Nation, has repented and Yeshua - Jesus returns …and is physically present on the earth (Acts 3:19–21). Christ will Reign for a 1,000-Years on this present earth …after His Second Coming …BUT before this present earth is destroyed, before history is concluded, and before the Eternity future begins.

We read in Jeremiah 23:5–8 of the promise that when the Messiah; “a Righteous branch of David,” - Reigns as King… He WILL execute judgment and justice “in the earth.” During the days of His Rule the people of Israel will “dwell safely” and securely “dwell in their own land.” The language of this passage is that; Christ will Rule over all the earth! And, in Daniel 7 the Kingdom that God will give to the Messiah, the Son of man “when He comes with the clouds of heaven” (v.13–14) is described as “the kingdom and dominion and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven” (v. 27). The expression; “under the whole heaven” indicates that Christ’s Kingdom WILL be on the earth (see Revelation 11:15).

Thousands of years ago the Prophets foretold dramatic changes in nature during the Messiah’s reign (Acts 3:19–21) such as abundant production in wilderness and desert areas (Isaiah 35:1–2; 41:18–20; 51:3) …and a tame animal kingdom (so there will be animals in Heaven) that is vegetarian in diet (Isaiah 11:6–9; 65:25) …healing of ALL diseases and deformities (Isaiah 29:18; 33:24; 35:5–6) …and restoration of longevity of life (Isaiah 65:20–22). The future events presented in the Book of Revelation is that Christ will reign for a 1,000-years on this present earth after His Second Coming …but before this present earth is destroyed, before history is concluded …and before Eternity future begins (Revelation 19:11–21:1). After the 1,000-year Reign of Christ, Satan will lead “a revolt” of the unsaved people on the earth against the Rule of Christ and His Saints (Revelation 20:7–9). Several factors in this passage indicate that this revolt will take place on the earth! Satan will deceive the Nations (just as he is doing today) located “in the four quarters of the earth,” the rebels will go up “on the breadth of the earth,” and Divine Judgment WILL come “down from God out of Heaven!

The Bible tells us that Christ WILL fulfil the “Davidic Covenant” by reigning over a kingdom that is “political” in nature… Isaiah 9:6–7 states that when Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) sits on David’s Throne ruling His Kingdom, “…the government will be upon His shoulder, and the increase of His Government will have NO end!” The word “Government implies; literal POLITICAL rule! When the Messiah Reigns, He WILL exercise control over International Relations, resulting in SHALOM “peace” among the Nations (Isaiah 2:4; Micah 4:3). During the Messiah’s Reign His Capital City - Jerusalem, will be the legal centre of the world. Out of it will issue forth the LAW (God’s Law not man’s futile laws) by which the Nations of the World will be governed (Isaiah 2:1–3; Micah 4:1-2). And, just as David functioned as “supreme judge” over the affairs of his subjects …so, the Messiah, when He reigns as “…the branch of Jesse and David,” will function as Supreme Judge over the affairs of His subjects (Psalm 72:1–4, 12–14; Isaiah 11:1–5; Jeremiah 33:14–16). Yeshua the Messiah will protect the poor, needy, and meek, punish their oppressors, and execute the wicked. These are the functions of a “political” government (Romans 13:1–7).

The certain fulfilment of the “Davidic Covenant” is emphasized several times in the Bible… In Psalm 89:28–37, God declared that His Covenant with David WILL stand fast and He WILL fulfil its promises in spite of disobedience by David’s descendants …and that He will NOT permit His faithfulness to fail. God said; “My Covenant will I not break, nor will I alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David” - Psalm 34–35. We see again in Psalm 132:11, God asserted that He will NOT turn back from what He has sworn to David; and in Jeremiah 33:20–21, He stated that just as people cannot “break the day and night cycle” that He has established …so His Covenant with David CANNOT be broken! In addition, God declared that He will set up a Righteous Descendant of David to rule as King (Jeremiah 23:5–6; 33:14–17) …and God later stated His intention to fulfil the promises of the Davidic Covenant in His ”Son” Yeshua Ha’Mashiach - the Messiah - Jesus Christ (Luke. 1:31–33). In all of these assertions …God never stated any conditions or left any doubt concerning the Covenant’s fulfilment. If God has NOT forsaken His Covenants OR ISRAEL …NOR should we forsake Israel …because God WILL NEVER forsake us; the Bride of Christ – The Church!

So, we can be assured that Christ the Messiah - WILL fulfil God’s promises to David in the "Davidic Covenant" in the future (after His Second Coming to the earth). Yeshua will do this by establishing and reigning over a literal, earthly, political kingdom for a 1000-Years on this present earth …just as His ancestor David reigned over a literal, earthly, political kingdom on this present earth! However, the Bible never indicates it will be on this present corrupted earth. Revelation 21-22 in agreement with Acts 3:21 and with passages in Isaiah, Ezekiel 48 and Zechariah 14 indicates He will reign on a re-created earth restored to its original characteristic of the Garden of Eden. Nature and earth are NO longer under the old curse with the exception of "the serpent" whom Isaiah prophesied would still eat dust.

God’s plan is for bringing justice to the world today from the effects of SIN… What is happening in the world today is NO surprise to God, and He has a plan to bring justice to the world through His SON Yeshua - Jesus Christ, His Anointed King and Judge! Psalm 2 reminds us that God is aware of everything and sits in Heaven and laughs and scoffs at wickedness of the Leaders of Nations today! "Why are the nations in an uproar and the peoples devising a vain thing? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, Nations: "Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!" – Psalm 2:1-3.

God’s Word is true! He IS watching to see how the nations are treating His people – Israel. God will have mercy on Israel through Gentile believers acting as mediators towards them! This is one of the most amazing revelations ever given to the Church – an opportunity to do something that carries the highest priority in the heart of God. Yet, sadly, so few have seen the potential and the rewards of serving God in this manner - as agents of mercy to Israel and the Jewish people! Israel was and still is despised today and a despised nation continually turning away from God BUT nothing ever altered the purpose of God for that nation. The despised element is always a noticeable element in the purpose of God. When the Saviour of the world came, He came of that despised nation; like Israel… He Himself was; "despised and rejected by men," …and there is that despised element; "…things that are despised God has chosen," 1 Corinthians 1:28. Now, more than at any time is the time to support Israel and the Jewish people - the Lord’s Brethren! We are witnessing the nations and people turning their backs on Israel. With "lockdown" and difficult "recovery" still lying ahead we ARE reminded that the Wuhan Corona Virus has caused many dire needs and continue to increase here in Israel upon the already most vulnerable!
